Kathryn was five hours late.
“Darling, I’m sorry . . . ”
She stopped inside the door, her excuse about the Enterprise adrift in Romulan space dying on her lips.
Every clock stood at 11:55.
“Sorry for what?” he grinned. “You just made it.”
Candlelight.
Roses.
Salad.
Lasagna.
Cheesecake.
Two bottles of wine.
Laughter.
Soft music.
Bubble bath for two.
Red satin sheets.
Sated, blissful, Kathryn rested against his warm body half-asleep.
“You’re too good to me.”
“I love you, Kathryn. For me, every day is Valentine’s Day.”
“I should have been a great fool not to love you, Chakotay.”

Lol, I don’t even like Star Trek, but my birthday is February 15th and I’m on a mission to read all the February 15th stories (you’d be surprised at how many there are). Anyways, that was really good! Even though I have no idea who Kathryn and Chakotay are, lol. My dad would know, though.
